Daniel Rubenstein
President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, age 33, Daniel Rubenstein has spent the four years previous to KennelSource as the principal owner and General Manager of All For Doggies, L.L.C. Prior to starting All For Doggies in November of 1999, Mr. Rubenstein spent three 3 years with Anderson Consulting (Accenture). His responsibilities there included work as a product designer, implementer, and a team leader for technology and process projects (clients included: Anderson Technology Center, State of Ohio, Allstate Insurance, and iFlourish.com). His technology background helped grow and maintain the operational efficiencies of All For Doggies, L.L.C. as he, Mr. Knittel, and Mr. Muldong built a web-enabled proprietary application for that business that would later become the knowledge and logic base for Pawtracker™.
A dog owner since 6 years old, he was able to combine his entrepreneurial spirit, his passion for business, and his lifetime love of dogs into what was one of the most successful dog care operations in the greater Chicago area. In just over 3 years, Dan built All For Doggies to over $1.25MM in revenue, 4000 clients, 26 employees, and created an IRR of over 60%. Dan decided to sell the business in August of 2003 and now dedicates his time managing the operations of Kennelsouce.
In the pet care industry, which is for in large part, a technology deprived industry; Dan uses his experience at All For Doggies and his 6 years in the industry, as an example for KennelSource clients and prospective customers, of how companies like theirs can use technology to help grow and effectively maintain operational proficiencies for their business. Through Dan and the rest of the team at KennelSource, the company has helped pet care business owners by showing them how to bridge the gap between their operations and technology. As CEO of KennelSource, Dan is currently responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for the company but he remains most focused on establishing KennelSource as the technology and software authority in the pet care industry.
Dan has a Bachelor in Business Administration from Emory University and a Masters in Health Care Administration from Nova University. Dan has also worked in the telecommunications field with Sprint Communications as a Hospitality Sales Manager and in the medical field with Magnecel Corporation as an Office Manager of a medical diagnostic center. Furthermore, Dan has frequently been invited as a Guest Lecturer for the DePaul School of Business and Entrepreneurship, The Pet Services Expo, and ABKA regional meetings.
