How do customers access the software?
The software is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere you have internet access. Your system requirements are very minimal since all data processing is done through our hosted server at KennelSource. No installation or maintenance is required by our customers which gives you the freedom to focus more on what's important, your business.
How easy is Pawtracker™ to use?
The intuitive design of the application provides an extra sense of comfort to the user's experience. You do not have to be a techie or computer wizard to operate the system. Since Pawtracker was built by professionals who once owned and operated their own successful Pet Care center in Chicago, our goal was to make sure that every person on your staff is able to use the system. We understand that your time is money and that you do not need to waste it teaching your employees how to use the system. In addition, because of our technical expertise, the team at KennelSource can be thought of as your back office technology department. We are here to support you in any way that we can.
How does KennelSource provide training and customer service to their customers?
Learning the application is a snap with our checklist and support documents. For people who require additional assistance, we offer our remote training session, where one of our professional staff can answer any questions. We will provide 1 hour of over-the-phone training when the account is setup after which we reserve the right to charge for additional training. We provide unlimited email support.
How are customer service issues resolved?
Critical errors are automatically sent to our support team with the highest priority level. Every question is very important to us. Pawtracker users can also find answers from the Knowledge Base on our website. The Knowledge Base contains questions and/or issues created by actual users and the responses from the Kennelsource Support Team. Every issue that is submitted to the support team is addressed within 24 hours.
How secure is the data?
We teamed up with the best hosting provider in the industry who focuses on keeping you close to your data and keeping others away from it. Only high level staff has access directly to our servers. Critical data are encrypted to provide an extra sense of security. We provided a free SSL certificate to every client to give them the same comfort level they get when they access data from their banks online. The bottom line is that your information is always under your control. Only the persons that you give access to the application will be able to see or manipulate your data.
How safe is the data?
In fact, your data is safer on our servers than it is on your own desktop computer. Our servers are dedictatd to your data and the application. Therefore, they are not susceptible to the same viruses that could infect your PC when you open an email. Backups are performed nightly and those backups are also transferred to another secure server at an undisclosed location. Therefore, on a day to day basis, we are always in possession of two backups of your data.
How is the application served?
The application is on it's own dedicated server. Our standard package is hosted on a shared server, yet giving security and importance to each individual client. Our enterprise model offers the flexibility to upgrade to a dedicated server.
How does the KennelSource handle redundancy, or a disaster, or a hardware/software problems?
Our knowledgeable staff is always on call 24/7. Our servers go through routine maintenance and constant system checks and made sure that everything runs efficiently. Data backups are handled daily and replicates are brought to another secure location for storage. In addition, in the event of an actual disaster, we always have backup servers ready to go.
Who owns the data?
The customer owns the data. Kennelsource reserves no rights to your data and our license agreement with you specifically states just that.
Can you import my data from another application?
All data should be manually reentered into Pawtracker as there are a number of data inconsistencies that we have discovered with competitors' products. There is no way to import the data yourself. However, if you truly want your data imported we can evaluate your files and provide a cost estimate for cleaning and importing the data. There is a minimal fee of $500 for data importing and it may be more depending on the data integrity.
How can I get the data out if I choose to select a new ASP two years from now?
Kennelsource will provide the customer with the option of exporting the data.
